Our private Hike & Wine Cappadocia tour starts at 09:45. First, we drive to Rose Valley trekking point. The valley has some beautiful rock formations with some great hidden rock – carved pigeon houses. The most interesting part of this area is the countless tracks connecting the small villages and towns through vineyards and gardens like a spider net. It is always possible to see villagers working in the area and offering grapes, apples or apricots to you. At the end of the trail we reach to Cavusin town. Like many ancient villages of Cappadocia, old Cavusin was abandoned several decades ago due to avalanches. The current village of Cavusin is located on the road. Old Cavusin, with its rock-cut dwellings and stone houses, had several hermitages. after expoloring the ghost town, we set off Avanos for lunch. After the lunch next stop is Devrent Valley in other words Imagination Valley. This is a place to let your mind run free in a seemingly lunar landscape with rock formations that look like animals. The Devrent Valle has none of the cave churches, Byzantine murals or Roman citadel ruins that are famous throughout the rest of Cappadocia; but what it does have is an extraordinary landscape shaped by nature to make you laugh and wonder and explore. Next, we drive to the oldest winery in the region. Archaeological evidence suggests winemaking here goes back more than 7,000 years, but the Hittites played the largest part in developing Turkey‘s vineyards, creating classifications and exporting wine to Assyrian and Sumerian lands between 1800BC and 1400BC. Later, the Byzantines developed further cultivation methods for the vineyards. Our last stop is Urgup's famous single-capped fairy chimneys.
